N-Coded Music and After 9 Records will reissue Ann Hampton Callaway's holiday recording, "This Christmas," next month.
Featuring a host of holiday favorites as well as two tunes written by the singer, "This Christmas" boasts two duets, one with Callaway's sister Liz — on "God Bless My Family" — and the other with jazz singer Kenny Rankin on the seasonal standard "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Callaway will celebrate the disc's re-release with a series of performances at Jazz Standard, Dec. 17 22. Callaway — a recipient of ASCAP's Johnny Mercer Songwriting Award — received a Tony Award nomination for her Broadway debut in Swing! as well as a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut. A vocalist and songwriter ("The Nanny" theme), Callaway has penned songs for Barbra Streisand and has written music for a posthumously discovered Cole Porter lyric. —By Andrew Gans
