Baby's Liz Callaway, Smokey Joe's Cafe's B.J. Crosby, Taboo's Liz McCartney, The Wild Party's Julia Murney and Falsettos' Barbara Walsh will lend their talents to the Oct. 11 evening at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Supervised by Phil Geoffrey Bond, the fundraiser will feature each of the women performing mini-concerts, with tunes from the Great American Songbook. A New Brain's Malcolm Gets will host the 8 PM performance. A charitable organization, The Songbook Project, according to production notes, is "dedicated to promoting the art of live performance, with a special emphasis on both new and classic popular songs. The organization brings professional singers into schools and community centers to perform these American standards, followed by a question and answer session."
