film and theatre star Campbell Scott, Polly Draper, Chris Duva and Laila Robins will perform the works of Edna St. Vincent Millay April 29 in All I Could See From Where I Stood, an evening of biography and poetry directed by Manhattan Theatre Club's Lynne Meadows. Nancy Milford, author of the recent Millay biography "Savage Beauty," will introduce All I Could, written and conceived by Steve Lawson.

In the years following World War I, Millay became famous for her poetry and her bohemian, bisexual private life. Her best known poems include "First Fig" ("My candle burns at both ends..."), "Justice Denied in Massachusetts," "Renascence" and her many sonnets. She was also a playwright and librettist, scripting The Lamp and the Bell, The Murder of Lidice and The King's Henchman.
