News Candice Guardin's SOS: A Journey Out of the Forgotten Borough... Staten Island Will Play the Beechman SOS: A Journey Out of the Forgotten Borough... Staten Island, written, created and performed by Candice Guardin, will be offered Oct. 15 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC.

Directed by Benjamin Shaw (End of the Rainbow assistant director) with music direction by David Dabbon (additional orchestrations for Sondheim on Sondheim), the solo show will begin at 7 PM.

SOS, according to the writer's website, "dives into the life of a spunky native New Yorker, Candice Guardin, who grew up in Staten Island… From hilarious and heartfelt family impressions, from getting her first period to her first celebrity crush to offering hilarious original songs and entertaining re-mixes of a few classic tunes (with her own brand of comedy stamped on it loud and clear!)."

Guardin has been seen in the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of That Other Woman's Child, the NYC premiere of Worlds Away, Gypsy at Westchester Broadway Theatre and the national tour of Blues Clues, among others.

Kimberly Vaughn is the production consultant and dramaturg for SOS.
