CAP 21, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to educational programs, theatre development and musical theatre training has sold out its Oct. 4 benefit.

This year's show honors the legendary Harold Prince who has participated in CAP 21's Master Class series in the past. Prince is scheduled to attend the gala, marking a rare public appearance for the Broadway producer.

Linda Lavin will host the benefit.

"The show has actually sold out," CAP 21 general manager Sharon Hamlet told Playbill On-Line.

CAP 21's annual benefit supports the nonprofit's various programs. This year's benefit comprises scenes from Prince's hit shows and other works slated for development. At one point, Eddie Korbich, Sally Mayes and Evan Pappas were said to be on performing along with students from the CAP 21 conservatory, but confirmations were not available at press time.

Hamlet did confirm that Linda Lavin will host the benefit, which takes place Oct. 4 at the DiCapo Opera Theatre, at 184 East 76 Street in Manhattan.
