Daisey (The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, The Last Cargo Cult, How Theatre Failed America) will develop a new piece that will launch the season with public performances July 5-7.

Joshua Allen's Chrysalis, "a darkly comic coming-of-age story about a precocious young girl who is in love with her step-brother," will be presented July 12-14.

Also offered will be Bess Wohl's American Hero, "a story of abandoned workers at a fast food restaurant who will do whatever it takes to keep their jobs," July 19-21.

The Moneyshot, a new piece by LaBute (Reasons to Be Pretty, Fat Pig), will close the season July 26-28. The play is "about two Hollywood stars who must tell their partners about the love scene they are filming the following day."

CCTP, under the artistic direction of Hal Brooks (No Child..., Long Story Short, Urge for Going, Thom Pain), has also announced that Mona Mansour (Urge for Going, The Hour of Feeling), Sharr White (The Other Place) and Meghan Kennedy (Too Much, Too Much, Too Many) will be the inaugural playwrights in its new Writers-In-Residence program.

CCP has nurtured plays by Joe DiPietro, Adam Rapp, John Cariani, Itamar Moses, Daniel Goldfarb, Paula Vogel, Anna Ziegler, Lanford Wilson, Mike Daisy and Jeff Daniels.
