The celebration, dedicated to dance advocate and past CTFD President Alex Dubé, begins at 6 PM with cocktails and is followed by a 7 PM dinner, live auction and performances.
Produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo, the evening includes special tribute performances by dancers and special guests including Tony Waag and American Tap Dance Foundation; Arthur Murray Dance Center, Columbus Circle; Ballet NY; Broadway Dance Lab; Lynn Cohen; Cincinnati Ballet; Complexions; Dance Theatre of Harlem; Natalie Enterline; Parsons Dance; Melanie LaPatin; Mark Stuart Dance Theater; The Rockette Alumnae; and Joanna Rush.
The Actors Fund and Career Transition For Dancers merged their programs and services to dancers and the dance community this year. The merger, according to press notes, “integrated the services of CTFD, which assists dancers during and post-career with career planning and transition, into the ongoing programs of The Actors Fund, a human services organization with services that help everyone who works in entertainment and the performing arts.”
