Carol Burnett, currently singing some of Stephen Sondheim's most bitterly funny songs in Broadway's Putting It Together, will be in a sweeter mode 8 PM Dec. 19 when she talks about her career with comedian Joy Behar at the 92nd Street Y.

The chat with the famed stage actress (Once Upon a Mattress), TV comedian ("The Carol Burnett Show") and sometimes serious actress ("Friendly Fire," "The Four Seasons") is rescheduled from a previously announced Oct. 3 date. Host Behar is a comedian and co-host of ABC's "The View."

Burnett began previews Oct. 30 for the revue of Stephen Sondheim's songs, Putting It Together, at the Barrymore Theatre. Official opening is Nov. 21.

In previews, Burnett sings some of Sondheim's most acidic and pained songs for women: "Every Day a Little Death," "Could I Leave You?," "There's Always a Woman," "My Husband the Pig," "Country House" and "The Ladies Who Lunch."

A bit of arcana for Burnett and co-star George Hearn is the little known "Do I Hear a Waltz?," from an unproduced TV musical, "Do You Hear a Waltz?" (not to be confused with Do I Hear a Waltz?, the stage musical Sondheim wrote with Richard Rodgers). Tickets to the chat with Burnett, in Kaufmann Concert Hall at the 92nd Street Y, are $20.
