London News   Cast Announced for The Prince of Egypt in London
The musical, with a score by Stephen Schwartz, starts performances in February 2020.

When The Prince of Egypt makes its London stage premiere next year, Luke Brady (Sweeney Todd) and Liam Tamne (The Light in the Piazza) will be leading the cast as Moses and Ramses, respectively, joined by Christine Allado (Hamilton) as Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime (Wicked) as Miriam.

The new musical, based on the 1998 Dreamworks animated movie, will begin performances February 5, 2020, at the Dominion Theatre. The U.K. premiere will officially open February 25.

The show will feature songs Schwartz penned for the movie (including the Oscar-winning “When You Believe”), as well as new numbers written for the stage adaptation.

Scott Schwartz (Stephen Schwartz's son) will direct the London staging, having previously helmed the 2017 world premiere at the TheatreWorks Silicon Valley (this year's Regional Theatre Tony Award recipient) in a co-production with Fredericia Teater Denmark. Sean Cheesman also returns as choreographer.

Additionally, the creative team includes set designer Kevin Depinet, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designer Mike Billings, sound designer Gareth Owen, projection designer Jon Driscoll, and illusion designer Chris Fisher. Orchestrations are by August Eriksmoen with musical supervision and arrangements by Dominick Amendum. Dave Rose is musical director. Casting is by Jim Arnold CDG.
