News Cast Complete for Greenberg Premiere The Well-Appointed Room Josh Charles has joined the already announced Tracy Letts, Amy Morton and Kate Arrington in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company world premiere of Richard Greenberg's new drama The Well-Appointed Room. Terry Kinney, who earlier directed Greenberg's The Violet Hour, will stage the work Jan. 12-March 12, 2006.

The Well-Appointed Room tells of two couples in two different eras whose lives play out in the same New York apartment. The theme of the shifting visions that accompany the passage of time is a familiar one to Greenberg. His Three Days of Rain spends the first act with the children of two famous architects, and the second act with their parents three decades earlier. In Everett Beekin, act one takes place in New York in the 1940, and the second act examines the third generation of the same family in California. More recently, The Violet Hour, puts characters in the 1920s in New York suddenly in possession of knowledge about the future.

Greenberg's A Naked Girl on the Appian Way premiered in New York this past fall. His A House in Town is expected at Lincoln Center Theater in the spring.
