Walnut Street Theatre will present the Philadelphia premiere of Stephen Karam’s Tony-winning The Humans beginning January 16, 2018.
Directed by Producing Artistic Director Bernard Havard, the limited engagement will officially open January 24 for a run through March 4.
Walnut veteran Mary Martello will star as Deirdre Blake with Greg Wood as Erik, Alex Keiper as Brigid , Jennie Eisenhower as Aimee, Sharon Alexander as Fiona (“Momo”), and Ibrahim Miari as Richard.
In The Humans, Erik brings his family from Pennsylvania to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter's new apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls outside the crumbling pre-war duplex, mysterious things start to go bump in the night and family tensions reach a boiling point.
The production team also includes set designer Roman Tatarowicz, costume designer Mary Folino, lighting designer Shon Causer, and sound designer Christopher Colucci.
