Directed by Victor Pappas with music direction by Mark Rabe, the cast will feature Joshua Carter as Marvin, Jadd Davis as Whizzer, Anna Lauris Boynton as Trina, Jonny Ozburn as Jason, David Silverman as Dr. Mendel, Frances Leah King as Dr. Charlotte and Katherine Strohmaier as Cordelia.

Falsettos, according to press notes, "tells the story of Marvin, who leaves his wife and child for a male lover, and the extended family's comic and dramatic attempts to co-exist when the lover contracts the AIDS virus." Act I takes place in 1979 and Act II in 1981. Songs like “The Ball Game,” “What More Can I Say” and “What Would I Do?” "convey a love story and a family story, beginning at the tail end of the sexual revolution and arriving at the dawn of 'something so bad words have lost their meaning' (the AIDS epidemic)."

March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland were originally presented Off-Broadway. In 1992 Falsettos — featuring March as the first act and Falsettoland as the second — debuted on Broadway at the John Golden Theatre with a cast led by Michael Rupert, Chip Zien, Stephen Bogardus and Barbara Walsh. The musical won Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.

Show times at Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall are Feb. 2 at 8 PM and Feb. 3 at 2 PM.

Tickets may be purchased by phone at (206) 215-4747, online at www.benaroyahall.org; or in person at the Benaroya Hall Ticket Office.
