News   Casting Announced for Free Reading of Shameland Musical
A free reading of the new musical Trouble in Shameland will be presented Dec. 13 at the York Theatre Company.

Part of the York's Developmental Reading Series, the 7:30 PM production will be directed by Stephen Nachamie with musical direction by Jason Loffredo. The cast of Bryan Putnam's musical will include Mandy Bruno, Ric Ryder, Melanie Kann, Edward Juvier, Sarah Kinlaw, Eric A. Martin, Scott McGowan, Eddie Pendergraft, Marissa Rosen, Bronwyn Stayoch, Taylor Wilson and Andrew Zutty. Trouble in Shameland features book, music and lyrics by Putnam. The musical, according to press notes, is described as "one man's tragic story; a mother's triumphant return to living, and a young boy's never-ending search for his lost platypus."
