News Casting Announced for Off-Broadway's Friends and Relations, About Lives of Seven Gay Man Complete casting has been announced for Marc Castle's new play Friends and Relations, which is scheduled to begin previews Dec. 1 at the June Havoc Theatre with an official opening Dec. 4 at 2 PM.

Directed by Adam Fitzgerald, the cast comprises Dan Amboyer (Dean), Joel T. Bauer (Cory), Nigel DeFriez (Glen/Steve), Matt Golden (Miles), Vince Nappo (Byron), Ben Roberts (Bobby) and Chris Sloan (Ross).

Friends and Relations, according to press notes, "celebrates the lives of 7 gay men: Miles, Dean, Byron, Ross, Bobby, Corey and Glen in New York City during the wild hedonistic late1970's and the sobering 1980's (one of the most volatibable and exciting decades in gay history), as they search for love (and other things) in a world gone just a bit mad. For a decade, it loosely follows the particular relationship of Miles & Corey, and how they affect their larger group of friends as they meet, break-up, reconcile; and as the friendships change with the times that push the boundaries of friendship, love, sex, family and loyalty. Through success and failure, through break-ups and breakdowns, it also explores the nature of friendships in the gay community; friendships that, in the end, take on all of the (positive and negative) attributes of a family and what it means to have true relationships in a world where old definitions no longer apply."

The production will also feature scenic design by David L. Arsenault, lighting design by Travis McHale, costume design by Erica E. Evans, sound design by Ian Wehrle and assistant costume design by Rachel Guilfoyle. Jessica Pollack is the production stage manager, and Stefanie Wagner is the assistant stage manager.

Performances are Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM.
