News Casting Complete for Ralph Fiennes Tempest at Theatre Royal, Haymarket; Trevor Nunn Directs The full cast has been announced for Trevor Nunn's new production of The Tempest that's heading to the West End's Theatre Royal, Haymarket, beginning performances Aug. 27 prior to an official opening Sept. 6, for a season that is booking through Oct. 29.

Nicholas Lyndhurst

Joining the previously announced Ralph Fiennes, who plays Prospero, and Elisabeth Hooper, who was recently revealed to have been cast as his daughter Miranda, are Nicholas Lyndhurst (Trinculo), Chris Andrew Mellon (Sebastian), Michael Benz (Ferdinand), Tom Byam Shaw (Ariel), Jim Creighton (Adrian), Ian Drysdale (Francisco), Andrew Jarvis (Gonzalo), James Simmons (Alonso), Giles Terera (Caliban), Julian Wadham (Antonio) and Clive Wood (Stephano) as well as Steven Butler, Eke Chukwu, Meline Danielewicz, Gisele Edwards, Hayley Ellenbrook , Grahame Fox, Charlie Hamblett, Jami Reid-Quarrell and Itxaso Moreno.

The production has set and costume designs by Stephen Brimson Lewis, with lighting by Paul Pyant, sound by Paul Groothuis and music by Shaun Davey. It is produced by the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company, Duncan C Weldon, Paul Elliott & Terri and Timothy Childs.

Lyndhurst is best known for his roles in the award-winning BBC series "Only Fools and Horses" and "Goodnight Sweetheart." He was last seen in the West End in a revival of Ronald Harwood's The Dresser at the Duke of York's Theatre. 

Byam Shaw, who graduated from Guildhall in 2010, has been seen in Salome (Hampstead Theatre) and Les Parents Terribles (Donmar Warehouse at the Trafalgar Studios).

Hopper is currently making her professional stage debut as a courtier in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, also directed by Nunn at the Haymarket, and Mellon is also in the same production as The Player, having stepped up to the role after the withdrawal of Tim Curry. He also previously appeared in Nunn's production of Aspects of Love at the Menier Chocolate Factory. He was a member of the Reduced Shakespeare Company for two years, appearing in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and The Complete History of America both at the Criterion Theatre. Wadham has appeared frequently at the National, most recently playing Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing. He was last seen in the West End in the transfer of the Royal Court's production of That Face. Film roles include Madox in Anthony Minghella's "The English Patient" and William Pitt in Nicholas Hytner's "The Madness of King George."

Wood was last at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in Trevor Nunn's production of Flare Path. His extensive list of credits for the Royal Shakespeare Company includes the title role in Henry IV as well as Bolingbroke in Richard II, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night and Claudius in Hamlet.
