News Casting Now Complete for West End Sexual Perversity As if there's not enough sex in Chicago (at the Adelphi) already, David Mamet's Sexual Perversity in Chicago is heading for the West End, where it will open at the Comedy Theatre on May 14, following previews that begin May 3.

Casting for this production has been completed with the announcement that Kelly Reilly is to co-star along with Minnie Driver and Matthew Perry. Reilly is one of the UK's most promising young actresses. She has recently starred as Young Amy in the film “Last Orders,” opposite Helen Mirren and Michael Caine, and is soon to be seen with Audrey Tautou in “Pot Luck,” which is opens in general release in May.

She played Elaine Robinson in the original London cast of The Graduate with Kathleen Turner and Matthew Rhys, and also starred as Cate in Sarah Kane's Blasted at the Royal Court and as Peggy in The London Cuckolds at the National Theatre.

Sexual Perversity in Chicago is about four young people looking for love. Danny (Matthew Perry) and his friend Bernie (Hank Azaria) are two “regular guys, pursuing women in all the normal places: bars, libraries, beaches; any place where single women congregate.”

Deborah (Kelly Reilly) and her roommate Joan (Minnie Driver) are two normal girls, trying to pursue men without actively appearing to do so. They go to the same bars, libraries and beaches. Danny and Deborah meet and begin an affair, while the other two watch cynically from the sidelines, exerting subtle but hostile pressure on their friends. Their sex lives and their attitudes towards love, lust and commitment are played out amid filing cabinets and the singles bar scene.
