News Cates, Rudd and Maitner to Star in Bond's Darkness Phil Geoffrey Bond's The Other Side of Darkness will receive its world premiere production as part of the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival.

Directed by playwright Bond, the play will be presented at the Bleecker Street Theatre Aug. 11 and 21 at 9:45 PM, Aug. 22 at 7:15 PM, Aug. 24 at 3 PM and Aug. 25 at 2:30 PM. The cast will feature Kristy Cates (Wicked) as Lillian Manners, David A. Rudd (Birdie's Bachelorette Party) as Stephen Manners and Rob Maitner (Urinetown) as Jay. Jason Courson is the set designer. The Other Side of Darkness, according to press notes, "is about the underbelly of show business. Spanning thirty years and set against the backdrops of both New York and Los Angeles, it examines the intersecting lives of three people striving for success, and dealing with the consequences of getting it."
