Broadway News Cats Will Welcome Four New Jellicles to Broadway The revival is set to play its final performance December 30.
Zachary Downer, Mackenzie Warren, Samantha Sturm, and Sarah Marie Jenkins

Four performers will join the Broadway company of Cats this summer. Zachary Downer will assume the role of Mistoffelees, Mackenzie Warren (Pippin) will take over as Bombalurina, Samantha Sturm (Holiday Inn) will play Demeter, and Sarah Marie Jenkins (Legally Blonde) is the production’s new Jennyanydots.

Downer succeeds Ricky Ubeda beginning July 17; Sturm steps in for Kim Fauré beginning August 3; Warren and Jenkins start performances August 7, taking over from Christine Cornish Smith and Eloise Kropp, respectively.

The musical, featuring a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, began performances in July 2016. The revival, which features choreography by Hamilton and Bandstand Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler, is set to play its final performance at the Neil Simon Theatre December 30.

The current cast also features Mamie Parris as Grizabella, Andy Huntington Jones as Munkustrap, Quentin Earl Darrington as Old Deuteronomy, Aaron J. Albano as Skimbleshanks, Daniel Gaymon as Macavity, Christopher Gurr as Bustopher Jones, Tyler Hanes as Rum Tum Tugger, and Sarah Jane Shanks as Jellylorum.
