We are happy to welcome guest celebrity blogger Chad Kimball, a 2010 Tony nominee for his performance in the new musical Memphis. Kimball, who has also been seen on Broadway in Into the Woods, Good Vibrations and Lennon, will blog for Playbill.com all week; his third entry follows:
Our 250th performance of Memphis went off without a hitch last night, save for the excruciating humidity which left me soaked with sweat by the end of Act One. I'm going to have to come up with something for this summer when it gets REALLY bad. Maybe an air conditioned undershirt? Thoughts anyone? Before the show, Montego and I headed over to the Joan Hamburg show on WOR for an on-air interview about Memphis. Joan is so incredibly sweet and I really appreciated her hospitality — coffee, cookies, candy. Felt like home. 
Had a rehearsal in the afternoon at the Shubert for our appearance on the "Today" show Thursday morning. I love getting up at 5 AM. It's my favorite thing to do. Especially after two shows the day before...just gimme a venti iced coffee and I'm good to go! Seriously though, being on the "Today" show is such a thrill. They always treat you so well and make you feel comfortable. So tune in Thursday morning for a little taste of Memphis!
