We are happy to welcome guest celebrity blogger Montego Glover, a 2010 Tony nominee for her performance in Memphis. Glover, who has also been seen on Broadway in The Color Purple, will blog for Playbill.com all week; her third entry follows:

Hi guys!

So today is Wednesday. Hump Day. Two-show day. Wednesdays for me are all about planning to be at the theatre all day, and trying to get as much productive and restful time out of it as possible. And the planning starts at home. I'm a brown-bag-it kinda girl, so I'm working out my menu for dinner between shows, trying to tie up any loose ends with business that will expire by the time matinee curtain comes down, run any urgent errands in the morning before leaving for work, and really getting mentally prepared to do Memphis twice in one day! smile

I'm asked a lot about how I maintain myself, particularly my voice, for the show, and, I have to say, in the formula on a two-show day is: sleeping between shows. For me it doesn't have to be long. In fact, my between-show naps can't be. By the time matinee curtain comes down, I cool my voice down (vital), change out of costume, meet any guests backstage, sign autographs for anyone who wants one at the stage door, run a few quick errands and eat (enter the brown bag!). If I'm lucky, I only really have about an hour to lie down.

Ahh…but there's something about getting all of that done, putting the lights out, shutting the door and being still and quiet for a few minutes before the half-hour call comes and we tell the story of Memphis all over again. Hooray for the Wednesday Tween Show Nap!

See ya soon!
