The singing actress, who will star in the upcoming City Center Encores! production of Stairway to Paradise, recently recorded John Bucchino's "Feels Like Home" for Nathan Gunn's latest album. The new recording from the American baritone, entitled "Just Before Sunrise," is currently scheduled for an Aug. 7 release in the United States and will also feature songs penned by Sting, Billy Joel and Tom Waits.

Chenoweth will also be heard on the "West Side Story Tribute Album," a recording that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic Leonard Bernstein-Stephen Sondheim-Arthur Laurents musical. Chenoweth has recorded "Tonight," which will be the only new vocal track on the disc; the remainder of the recording will be culled from previous recordings of West Side Story tunes. That CD is also scheduled for an Aug. 7 release.

Kristin Chenoweth, who received a Tony nomination for her work as Glinda in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, has been seen on the New York stage in The Fantasticks, Scapin, Steel Pier, A New Brain, Epic Proportions, Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Apple Tree and Candide. The actress won her Tony Award for her performance as Sally Brown in the Broadway bow of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Chenoweth recently released her second solo recording, "As I Am" (Sony Classical), and her screen credits include "Kristin," "The West Wing," "The Music Man," "The Pink Panther," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Deck the Halls" and "Running with Scissors."

Chenoweth will also make a guest appearance on the season finale of ABC-TV's "Ugly Betty" May 17.
