News Cheyenne Jackson Hosts Actors Fund Gala Honoring Bening, McCollum and Tisch April 12 The Actors Fund of America presents its annual gala April 12 in New York City at the Marriot Marquis.

Actress Annette Bening, producer Kevin McCollum and entrepreneur Jonathan Tisch will be honored at the annual event. The Actors Fund will bestow its highest honor, The Actors Fund Medal of Honor, on each of the three. The evening is a culmination of Bening, McCollum and Tisch's year-long fundraising leadership as co-chairs of The Actors Fund's special campaign.

Stage and screen star Cheyenne Jackson hosts the evening, which boasts a performance by Michael Feinstein. Also scheduled to appear are Jane Krakowski, Peter Gallagher, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Bebe Neuwirth.

The evening begins at 6 PM with a cocktail reception followed by the awards presentation, dinner and entertainment at 7 PM.

On Broadway Annette Bening starred in Coastal Disturbances, earning a Theatre World Award and a Tony nomination for her performance. She was Oscar-nominated for her roles in "Being Julia," "American Beauty" and "The Grifters."

Kevin McCollum is the Tony-winning producer of such Broadway productions as Rent, Avenue Q, The Drowsy Chaperone, High Fidelity, In the Heights, [title of show], Irving Berlin's White Christmas as well as the revivals of West Side Story and Ragtime.

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
