LOS ANGELES -- John Boston's serio-comedy, Ramblers, a recent hit play in Chicago, will have its West Coast premiere at the Ruby Theatre April 29, running through June 5.

Presented by the Furious Theatre Company, the play is directed by Boston & Damaso Rodriguez and features original cast members Boston, Gary Cohen, Vonessa Haag, Sara Hennessy, Shawn Martin, Rodriguez and Eric Stonestreet. Christie Wright is the production designer.

Ramblers deals with a young, wannabe filmmaker who returns to Chicago after a disillusioning time in New York. Discouraged, directionless and living with his parents, he spends his days and nights drinking, smoking pot, and reliving the past with old high school buddies. Then an unexpected relationship forces him to confront the dreams he has abandoned.

The Chicago Tribune called Furious Theatre's production "a veritable feast of raw talent, funny and energetic...this is rough hewn storefront theater at its very best and the kind of playwriting debut that can make a whole career."
