The Broadway production of Chicago will celebrate its sixth anniversary on Broadway with a special 7 PM performance on Sunday, Nov. 17 and an all-star bash following the show. Details are expected shortly.

Kander and Ebb's Tony-winning revival currently stars Australian stage star Caroline O'Connor as Velma Kelly, Broadway veteran Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, "Titanic" villain Billy Zane as Billy Flynn with Rob Bartlett as Amos Hart and Roz Ryan as Matron "Mama" Morton. The original revival cast included Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, Joel Grey, James Naughton and Marcia Lewis.

This revival began life as one of the three annual Encores! presentations presented by City Center. The musical then moved to Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre in Nov. 1996 where it remained through Feb. 1997. The musical transferred to its current home, the Shubert Theatre, on Feb. 11, 1997. It was also recently announced that Chicago will make another move — to the Ambassador Theatre — on Jan. 29, 2003.

Chicago, at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street), won the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.
