News Chicago Improv Sensation "TJ and Dave" Starts Open-Ended Off-Broadway Run Sept. 14 The Chicago improvisation team "TJ and Dave," which played two test runs at Off-Broadway's Barrow Street Theatre in fall 2005, will return to that space Sept. 14 for an open-ended run.

"TJ & Dave," presented by Scott Morfee and Tom Wirtshafter, opens on Nov. 2 at 10 PM. Aside from the first week of previews in September, the duo will perform the first week of every month: four late-night shows from Thursday through Sunday. TJ and Dave are T.J. Jagodowski and Dave Pasquesi. They call their form of improv "insta-plays"—they create full plays with many characters right on the spot each night. They have been a popular attraction at the ImprovOlympic Cabaret in Chicago for the past few years.

The two men met at the 2002 Chicago Improv Festival. Jagodowski is a veteran of Second City's Mainstage Company. Pasquesi is also a Second City veteran, and recently starred as Ricky Roma in Steppenwolf's 2002 revival of Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross. He also appears in the Comedy Central series "Strangers with Candy."

The theatre hosted a two-week stay of the duo Oct. 27-Nov. 6, 2005, after the evening performances of Orson's Shadow. They returned Dec. 15-17.
