Following the Oct. 28 performance of the long-running, Tony-winning revival of Kander and Ebb's Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre, five-time Tony-winning costume designer William Ivey Long will take part in a discussion and question-and-answer session.
The series, according to press notes, is designed to "provide theatregoers with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Chicago."
William Ivey Long is currently represented on Broadway with his costume designs for Chicago, Hairspray and Young Frankenstein. He received Best Costume Design Tony Awards for Nine, Crazy for You, The Producers, Hairspray and Grey Gardens. This season, his designs will be seen in the revival of Pal Joey and the new musical 9 to 5.
Chicago currently stars Michelle DeJean as Roxie Hart, Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, two-time Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton.
