Christine Andreas opened a four-week debut run at the Cafe Carlyle in New York City Sept. 19, teaming with musical director Lee Musiker for a show of pop songs, show tunes and jazz.

Musiker heads a quartet, with Andreas singing a range that includes selections in Italian, Spanish and French. The actress singer is a two-time Tony Award nominee whose roles have included Eliza Doolittle in the 20th anniversary revival of My Fair Lady, Laurey in 1979's Oklahoma! and Frankie in the Broadway revival of On Your Toes. She recently played Marguerite in Broadway's The Scarlet Pimpernel.

A live performance CD, "The Best is Yet to Come," is expected in stores soon. Her previous solo disc is called "Love is Good."

Performances continue twice nightly Tuesday-Saturday at the Cafe Carlyle, in the Carlyle Hotel, to Oct. 14. Music charge is $60. The Carlyle is at 35 E. 76th Street. Call (212) 744-1600 for reservations, or visit the official Christine Andreas web site at www.ChristineAndreas.com.
