News Christine Pedi to Bring Great Dames to London's Jermyn Street Theatre Christine Pedi is scheduled to return to London's Jermyn Street Theatre – where she previously starred in the London premiere of Forbidden Broadway, later transferring to the West End's Albery Theatre – with her one-woman show Great Dames.

Performances will begin at the Jermyn Street June 2 prior to an official opening June 3, for a run to June 21.

Great Dames, for which Pedi won the 2008 New York Nightlife Award, the Backstage Bistro Award and received a MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) nomination, is described as her tribute to "the dolls, broads, babes, bombshells and icons who have inspired her career." These include Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers, Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews and many more, whom she brings to life singing classic tunes first popularized by many a great dame (real or imagined). She has appeared in some of these guises in the long-running Forbidden Broadway, which she has regularly appeared in in New York (where she has been Drama Desk-nominated and won the Dramalogue Award) and Tokyo, Singapore, South Africa, Australia, Los Angeles and beyond.

Pedi has also been seen on Broadway in Eric Bogosian's Talk Radio and Little Me. Other stage credits include The A Train Plays, The 24 Hour Plays, Edith Wharton's Xingu, Dalliance in Vienna at the American Theatre of Actors, Fanny Brice in Hello, Dolly!, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, A Broadway Diva Christmas and Carlotta the Gypsy Cow. She has performed with Marvin Hamlish and the Indianapolis Symphony as well as many other orchestras throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has sung for President and Mrs. Clinton (playing Hilary). On TV, she has appeared in "The Sopranos" as Mrs. Bobby Baccala.

Pedi will be joined by musical director and pianist Matthew Ward, another Forbidden Broadway regular. Great Dames was captured live in performance at New York's Metropolitan Room and is available on CD.
