News Christopher Plummer, Len Cariou, Des McAnuff Remember Michael Langham at July 10 Memorial A memorial for Michael Langham, the internationally-known stage director, educator and artistic director of Canada's Stratford Shakespeare Festival from 1956 to 1967, will be held at Stratford's flagship Festival Theatre at 10 AM July 10.

The event in Stratford, Ontario, will include tributes from Stratford artistic director Des McAnuff, general director Antoni Cimolino, performers Christopher Plummer, Martha Henry, Len Cariou, Don Harron, Roberta Maxwell, Ian Lake and Trent Pardy, director Michael Bawtree, theatre critic Robert Cushman and Langham's son, Chris Langham.

Seating is general admission. No tickets are required.

Langham, whose long and influential directing career saw him helm productions on Broadway, run the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for a decade, and man the Guthrie Theatre during the 1970s, died Jan. 15 at his home near Cranbrook, Kent, in England. He had contracted a chest infection before Christmas in 2010 and failed to recover. He was 91.
