Broadway direction and choreography will be re-created by Lucy Skilbeck and JoAnn Hunter, respectively. Just as on Broadway, the tour will feature a limited number of on-stage seats available for purchase.

The cast will be led by Christopher Wood as Melchior, Elizabeth Judd as Wendla, Coby Getzug as Moritz, Courtney Markowitz as Ilse, Rachel Geisler as Anna, Jim Hogan as Georg, Aliya Bowles as Martha, George E. Salazar as Otto, Emily Mest as Thea and Devon Stone will portray Hanschen with Daniel Plimpton as Ernst.

The ensemble includes Jamie Rea Billings, Erin Burniston, William J. Lewis, Michael Linden and Jeff Ostermueller.

Based on the 1891 Frank Wedekind play, the landmark musical features a score by Duncan Sheik, book and lyrics by Steven Sater, and original direction and choreography by Michael Mayer and Bill T. Jones, respectively.

"Set against the backdrop of a repressive and provincial late 19th century Germany," press notes state, Spring Awakening "follows a group of young students as they navigate through teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety."
