The staging scheduled to play to Dec. 22 in London is a co-production between Royal Court and Off-Broadway's downtown institution, The Public Theater, which gave American life to such Churchill works as Top Girls, Fen and The Skriker. Ty Burrell and Stephen Dillane star in the new work, directed by James Macdonald, with scenic design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Joan Wadge, lighting design by Peter Mumford and sound by Ian Dickinson. Music is by Matthew Herbert.
In the play, according to RCT, "Jack would do anything for Sam. Sam would do anything."
The play will have some kind of Public future, but as of Nov. 6 a Public spokesman told Playbill.com no specifics are ready to be announced.
Churchill's previous plays for the Royal Court include A Number, Far Away, Blue Heart, This Is a Chair and Top Girls.
