Classic Arts News Cincinnati Ballet Announces 2006-07 Season The Cincinnati Ballet's 2006-07 season will include Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and three mixed bills, the company announced.
The season opens on September 28 at the company's new Mickey Jarson Kaplan Performance Studio with world premieres by resident choreographer Kirk Peterson, Viktor Kabaniaev, and Luca Veggetti, as well as Lynn-Taylor-Corbett's Lost and Found.

Giselle runs November 3-5, in a new staging by ballet master in chief Devon Carney; The Nucracker, in Val Caniparoli's version, follows December 14-26.

The Sleeping Beauty is also a new staging, by Peterson; it runs February 9-11, 2007.

On March 16 and 17, the company celebrates artistic director Victoria Morgan's 10-year tenure with the premiere of a new work set to Maurice Ravel's Bolero, paired with Caniparoli's The Bridge. The season ends with a Mother's Day Festival (May 18-19) featuring works by Twyla Tharp, Jorma Elo, and Carney.
