Cirque du Soleil's Quidam — pronounce it "key-dahm" — has been touring the globe in many incarnations since 1998, and will visit Boston's Suffolk Downs, July 25-Aug. 25.

Due to overwhelming demand, nine extra performances of Quidam were added.

Franco Dragone conceived and directs Quidam, Cirque's ninth production, which includes clowns, aerial contortion, a man inside a double-metal hoop, and "Diabolos" (Chinese yo yo). The production, which premiered in Montreal in April 1996, is considered a surreal living canvas — a cross between Magritte and Fellini.

Performances will play under the blue and yellow Grand Chapiteau at Suffolk Downs in Boston, Massachusetts. Cirque Club members can purchase exclusive seating by joining at www.cirqueclub.com.

Tickets can be also be purchased by the general public by calling (800) 678-5440 or online at www.cirquedusoleil.com. VIP packages are also available. — by Ernio Hernandez
