News Classical Theater of Harlem to Bring Macbeth to New York's Other Parks Central Park isn't the only city green to boast a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth this summer.

As a sort of echo to the Liev Schreiber-Jennifer Ehle staging now to be seen at the Delacorte Theatre, The Classical Theater of Harlem (CTH) will present its critically acclaimed production of The Scottish Play at Von King Park in Brooklyn and in Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem. Performances will be on July 28 and 29 at Von King Park, and Aug. 1, 4 and 5 in Marcus Garvey Park. The show is part of the inaugural season of CityParks Theater Presented by Time Warner.

Alfred Preisser will direct. CTH has quite a history with Macbeth, which has been far from an unlucky play for the troupe. It was the first show that the company presented when it began in 1999, and a revised version was presented in 2003 and 2005, and was performed in Germany. A European tour will go out this year.
