In its commitment to presenting theatre that entertains and makes a social impact while dealing with pressing topics, Cleveland Public Theatre is premiering Bringing the Fishermen Home by Deb Margolin March 18-April 3, officially opening March 26.
Bringing the Fishermen Home tells of Jane Sand, a professor diagnosed with a tumor in her sinuses. She meets Dr. Peter Correra, making an instant connection. A la Wit, through her interaction with Dr. Correra, we are given a probing look into the medical system.
The show is directed by Randy Rollison, who has also directed Margolin's Carthieves! Joyrides!,. The cast includes: Sarah Morton, David Thomas, Michelle Tomko, Dan Ensel, Jason Markovc, Douglas Kusak and Jennifer Snuggs.
Margolin has been a formative voice in feminist theatre since the 1980's. She has toured with The Split Britches company and appeared on Comedy Central. She has also performed her one-woman shows all over the world.
