The 27-year-old company has been run out of a series of different spaces, including a space above a deli and a church. Since 1990, it has leased the Dance Centre, where its administrative offices, dance studios, school, and costume shop are located.
In a statement, the company said that the purchase "firmly achors BalletMet in downtown Columbus..... BalletMet's permanent home will continue to serve as a busy cultural hub, energizing its neighborhood and continuing to draw diverse constituencies into the city."
