Having Broadway revivals of two of their shows -- On the Town and Peter Pan -- hasn't been enough. Being profiled by every newspaper and glossy in town hasn't worn them down. Now, the theatre veterans are returning, for the first time in more than 20 years, to their first forum -- cabaret. Both will perform in An Intimate Party with Betty & Adolph at Joe's Pub Feb. 1 & 8.

Comden and Green began their careers as part of the cabaret and nightclub act The Revuers. Since then, they have sporadically performed their act here and there, the last occasion being the 1977 Broadway show A Party with Comden & Green. At Joe's Pub, the duo with perform various tunes from their many musicals, as well sketches such as "The Banshee Sisters" and "The Baroness Bazooka."

The bar and night spot, a new performance space in the Joseph Papp Public Theater, opened last fall and has since housed such artists as playwright and actor Roger Guenveur Smith, the theatrical rock band BETTY, singer Dawn Upshaw, and, most notably, actress and singer Audra McDonald, whose concert engagement at the tavern sold out its run.

For information on these performances, call (212) 239-6200. -- By Robert Simonson
