News Comic Billy Connolly to Play 37 Arts Theatre Beginning May 9 British comic Billy Connolly will play a limited engagement at New York's 37 Arts Theatre beginning May 9.

Presented by Westbeth Entertainment, Connolly will offer his evening of stand-up at the Off-Broadway venue through June 3. Opening night for Billy Connolly Live! is set for May 11. Billy Connolly, who is best known to U.S. audiences for his role in the sitcom "Head of the Class," was voted Britain's Favorite Comedian in 2003. His screen credits include "Mrs. Brown," "Lemony Snicket's—A Series of Unfortunate Events," "The Last Samurai" and "White Oleander." Connolly's new DVD, "Billy Connolly Live in New York" will be released in the U.S. on Rykodisc in May.
