News Complete Casting Announced for Guthrie’s Three Sisters Kathryn Meisle, who recently starred in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Tartuffe, will head the cast of the Guthrie Theater’s Three Sisters.

Meisle will portray Masha in the Chekhov play, which runs at the Minnesota theatre April 19-May 24. The other two title players will be Julie Briskman as Olga and Meghan Wolf as Irina. The remainder of the cast comprises Matthew Amendt (Rode), Michael Booth (Andrei), Barbara Bryne (Anfisa), Wiley Harker (Ferapont), Richard S. Iglewski (Kulygin), Jim Lichtscheidl (Tuzenbach), Bill McCallum (Solyony), Kris L. Nelson (Fedotik), Michelle O’Neill (Natasha) and Stephen Pelinski (Vershinin) and Stephen Yoakam (Chebutykin). Directed by Guthrie Artistic Director Joe Dowling, this production of Three Sisters will utilize Richard Nelson’s English version of the play, which was commissioned by the Guthrie in 1984. Previews begin April 19 with an official opening scheduled for April 25.

The Three Sisters creative team includes Patrick Clark (set designer), Paul Tazewell (costume designer), Matthew Reinert (lighting designer), Scott W. Edwards (sound designer), Keith Thomas (composer) , Michael Lupu (dramaturg), Marcela Lorca (movement), Bonnie N. Raphael (voice and speech consultant), Brian Klevan Schneider (stage manager) and Chris A. Code (assistant stage manager).
