The winner of the contest will also have the opportunity to perform the song, which will be written especially for him or her, at Alan's upcoming New York City concert (April 30 at Birdland) or London concert (June 3 in the West End).

The winner will be introduced by Youtube sensation Michael Buckley.

Deadline for submission is March 15; a winner will be announced April 1.

Scott Alan's newest recording, "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up," is now available on, and iTunes. "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up" follows Alan's earlier studio recordings, "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys." His new musical Home is aiming for Broadway in 2012.
