News Cook, Ball and Feinstein Part of London's Sensational Singers Season The Theatre Royal, Haymarket is to present a stellar season of great singers, entitled Singular Sensations, from Sept. 7 to Oct. 16.

Featuring headliners from both sides of the Atlantic, Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein and Michael Ball are already confirmed, with more stars to be announced shortly.

First up will be Barbara Cook, returning to the West End with Barbara Cook’s Broadway, already seen at the Gielgud Theatre earlier in 2004. Alongside Cook, as always, will be her musical director and arranger Wally Harper. Cook will hold court between Sept. 7 and Sept. 11.

She’ll be followed by Michael Feinstein, bringing his one-man show to Theatreland for the first time. Accompanied by a six-piece band, Feinstein will present a selection of Gershwin songs as well as music from the double CD “Romance on Film/Romance on Broadway.” Ira Gershwin’s assistant for six years, Feinstein had access to plenty of unpublished Gershwin material which he has made his specialty. Londoners will get the chance to see him between Sept. 13-25.

Michael Ball steps up with his show Alone Together between Sept. 27 and Oct. 9. Ball is one of the West End’s biggest home-grown stars after his turns in the original casts of Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love and, more recently, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The season is produced by the Theatre Royal, Haymarket with Stanhope Productions in association with Soloway-Levy.
