The raunchy Cooking With Elvis is a black comedy about a baker named Stuart who finds himself sucked into the lives of an extremely dysfunctional family. They are "a paraplegic Elvis impersonator, his alcoholic, sex-crazed wife, his food-obsessed daughter and their pet tortoise named Stanley," to quote the company's release. Oscar-nominated author Hall is best known for scripting the hit (and very different) film "Billy Elliott."

Cooking With Elvis stars Marianna Bassham, Danielle Delgado, Colin Hamell and Gip Hoppe as The King. Jeff Zinn directs.

The design team includes Dan Joy (sets), Christopher Ostrom (lighting) and Mary Jo Horner (costumes).

Tickets are $19. For reservations, call (508) 349-6835. Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre is on the web at http://www.what.org. — By Christine Ehren
