News Corddry Brothers Will Read True West at Williamstown July 20 A special reading of Sam Shepard's fraternal drama True West will be presented at the Williamstown Theatre Festival June 20.

The 7:30 PM reading will feature brothers Nate and Rob Corddry in the work that explores the volatile relationship between two brothers (Lee and Austin) and their family.

Crispin Whittell (Williamstown's Villa America) directs the reading that also features Debra Jo Rupp (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) as Mom. Casting for the role of Saul Kimmer has yet to be announced.

Nate Corddry, a contributor on "The Daily Show," appears in the upcoming films "Shelter," "This Side of the Truth," "The Ugly Truth" and the Steven Spielberg miniseries "Pacific." His additional screen credits include "Studio 60" and "The Nanny Diaries."

Rob Corddry, also a correspondent for "The Daily Show," has appeared in the films "Blades of Glory," "Semi-Pro," "The Heartbreak Kid," as well as the upcoming Oliver Stone biopic "W."

True West has become a favorite among actors, with a recent production featuring Broadway siblings Matt and Dan Bogart, and a controversial 2004 staging that recast women as the dueling brothers. True West had its New York premiere at the Public Theater in 1980 starring Tommy Lee Jones and Peter Boyle. The 1982 Off-Broadway revival boasted a line-up of actors including James Belushi, Gary Cole, Erik Estrada, Dennis Quaid and Randy Quaid. In 2000 Broadway saw its first production of True West, featuring John C. Reilly and Phillip Seymour Hoffman swapping brotherly roles on a regular basis.
