Cougar, The Musical, according to press notes, is the story of "a newly divorced, forty-something mom who is down on her luck. Wounded and abandoned, she seeks to reinvent herself and through the influence of a girlfriend and a younger man, unleashes her inner cougar, finding self respect and empowerment."
In a statement creator Moore said, "Demi Moore, Courtney Cox, Susan Sarandon, and Geena Davis … the media has a lot of fun with these ladies as cougar prototypes. But these women show us their inner-strength. I’ve been working on this show for four years. My intention is to humanize the cougar. Women in the middle of life gain wisdom and empowerment. They unleash their inner-vitality when they realize that love is ageless.
The Theatre at Saint Peters is located at 54th Street, east of Lexington Avenue. For tickets, priced $32, call (212) 935-5820 or visit www.CougarTheMusical.com.
