Connecticut's O'Neill Theater Center welcomes its newcomer neighbors — New Haven's new artistic directors James Bundy and Gordon Edelstein — at The O'Neill's new speaker series, "Artists at The O'Neill," Nov. 18.

Bundy of Yale Repertory Theatre and Edelstein of Long Wharf Theatre, will speak at the free event — which is open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis — moderated by O'Neill Executive Director Howard Sherman.

Bundy serves as Dean of the Yale School of Drama and artistic director of Yale Repertory Theatre. Previously artistic director of Great Lakes Theater Festival in Cleveland, OH, as well as associate producing director of The Acting Company, he has helmed productions of The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Travels with My Aunt, A Moon for the Misbegotten and Macbeth.

Edelstein serves as artistic director at the Long Wharf Theatre — where he formerly was associate artistic director. Prior to his return to Long Wharf, Edelstein was artistic director of A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) in Seattle, Washington. His directorial credits include productions of Mourning Becomes Electra, starring Jane Alexander, the Broadway revival of The Homecoming and such off-Broadway productions asThe Day the Bronx Died, The Last Yankee and Tales of the Lost Formicans.   The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center was founded in 1964 and based in Waterford, CT. Programs at the Center include the Puppetry Conference, Playwrights Conference, Critics Institute, Music Theater Conference and the National Theater Institute. The Monte Cristo Cottage, O'Neill's childhood home, is also owned and operated by the group.
