Maury Yeston penned the score to the musical with a book by Arthur Kopit. Nine will run through April 24. According to the theatre's website, the Westchester production will also include some of the songs penned for the recent Rob Marshall film version of the musical, though an announcement of the titles has not been made. Yeston penned three new songs for the film, including "Guarda La Luna," "Take It All" and "Cinema Italiano."

Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Based on the semi-autobiographical Fellini film "8 ½," Nine premiered on Broadway in 1982, starring Raul Julia, Anita Morris and Karen Akers. The Tommy Tune-directed production won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. In 2003 Broadway saw a revival boasting an all-star cast including Antonio Banderas, Chita Rivera, Jane Krakowski and Mary Stuart Masterson. Directed by David Leveaux and reset in the early 1960s, the revival won two Tonys, including Best Revival.

The recent film adaptation starred Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Judi Dench and Fergie.
