News CUNY-TV to Broadcast "Working in the Theatre" on Aug. 11, 17, 23 On Aug. 8 the American Theatre Wing presented a "Working in the Theatre" seminar at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

On Aug. 8 the American Theatre Wing presented a "Working in the Theatre" seminar at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

Subtitled "Taking Over for a Star," the seminar's panel included Marilu Henner, Richard Kind and Rhea Perlman, who stepped into the roles created by Michele Lee, Tony Roberts and Linda Lavin in the Broadway production of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife; Hal Linden, who recently joined the company of Cabaret; and Steven Weber and Brad Oscar, who took over the lead roles in the Tony-winning Mel Brooks musical, The Producers. The afternoon also included the complete footage of the Lifetime Achievement Awards presented to Julie Harris and Robert Whitehead at the 2002 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall.

CUNY-TV (Time Warner channel 75 and RCN channel 106) will broadcast the recent seminar on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 5 PM, with repeat telecasts on Aug. 17 at 11 AM and Aug. 23 at 7 PM. "Working in the Theatre" seminars are also shown on Channel 36 in Los Angeles; check local listings.

Created by American Theatre Wing Chairman Isabelle Stevenson, the "Working in the Theatre" seminars are now in their 30th year.
