Whoriskey, who staged the Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker last season, succeeded Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher as artistic director of the Intiman. Sher exited his position to become the resident director of Lincoln Center Theater.

The 2010-2011 season at the Intiman will open with All My Sons, depicting an American family in crisis following WWII, under the direction of Valerie Curtis-Newton.

Intiman associate producer Andrew Russell will stage the world premiere of Tanya Barfield's The Call. The new play explores the challenges of adopting a child from another culture.

Whoriskey will direct J. M. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World. Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange, Shrek) will star in the comedy about a mysterious storyteller who captures the imagination of a small town.

Following will be The Piano Teacher, Cho's account of a music instructor who is visited by two former students. A director has not been announced for the production; however, Whoriskey staged the work Off-Broadway in 2007.

The final production will be a new stage adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, penned by Chloe Moss (This Wide Night). Anne Kauffman will direct the spooky classic about the headless horseman.
