News David A. Miller Succeeds Margie Salvante as Roundabout's Director of Education David A. Miller will assume the role of director of education for the Roundabout Theatre Company July 1, the company announced. He succeeds departing director Margie Salvante.

Miller, who joined the company in August 2006, currently serves as Roundabout's education program manager. Prior to his work at Roundabout, he held positions at Seattle Children's Theatre, Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken, NJ, and New York's CityKids Repertory Company.

Salvante was Roundabout's first full-time director of education and helped to build the company's outreach program that works with New York City's public schools and teachers and students throughout the tri-state area. She will continue to serve as a consultant, according to a release.

"What Margie has created during her ten years with the Roundabout is extraordinary," said artistic director Todd Haimes in a statement. "I am so proud of the work Margie, and her team, are doing in the classrooms and the impact Roundabout is having on the educational lives of the 5,000 students and teachers who participate in our programs."

The Roundabout currently presents 110 in the Shade at Studio 54 (through July 29), Old Acquaintance at the American Airlines Theatre (through Aug. 19) and Beyond Glory at the Laura Pels Theatre (through Aug. 19). The new season will bring The Ritz (starring Rosie Perez and Kevin Chamberlin), Pygmalion (with Jefferson Mays) and London's Menier Chocolate Factory production of Sunday in the Park with George (with original West End stars Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell).
