Directed and choreographed by Richard Sabellico, the Bock and Harnick musical will play the Citizens Bank Theatre in State College, PA, May 26-June 7.

The cast will also include Chad Bradford, Clory C. Jackson, Lara Mielcarek and Raymond Sage with Nakeisha Daniel, Ben Loving, Jamila Sabares-Klemm, Amanda Frennier, Matthew Moore, Luke Virkstis, Julia Freyer, Jeff Nunez, Robert Henry and Nick Reynolds.

The creative team includes scenic designer Zachary Keller, costume designer Laura K. Robinson and lighting designer Corey Felgenhour. Musical director is Richard Biever, stage manager is Emily Reeder, and technical director is Mo Stroemel.

From the songwriting team of She Loves Me and Fiddler on the Roof, The Apple Tree features music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and a book by Bock and Harnick (with additional book material by Jerome Coopersmith). The musical is "a unique evening of three one-act musicals about men, women and a little thing called temptation" based on Mark Twain's "The Diary of Adam and Eve," Frank R. Stockton's "The Lady or the Tiger?" and Jules Feiffer's "Passionella."

Bock and Harnick's The Apple Tree, which featured a Tony-winning performance by Barbara Harris, originally opened on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre in October 1966. Larry Blyden and Alan Alda also starred in the Mike Nichols staging, which was nominated for seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. The Roundabout Theatre Company revival — starring Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Brian d'Arcy James, Marc Kudisch and Walter Charles — ended its Studio 54 run in March 2007.
